I often hear songs from Broadway with which I fall in love. Songs I want to “try on” as if they were dresses in someone else’s closet. But like any beautiful dress (even ones I’ve worn before), sometimes, it needs a little tailoring to fit its wearer: a little hemming in here, a little release there, a little addition here and there…. But when it does fit, you want to share it with the world. So, here I am, “trying on” these beautiful songs. Incredibly aware of, and indebted to the legends who have worn them so perfectly before. This project is not just for a Broadway audience, however, it’s for all of you.

And so, I thank you for allowing me to be apart of your musical worlds: whether gospel, pop, R&B, or Broadway. Thank you for joining me on the journey. And thank you for letting me do it…My Way.
